Enjoy a cocktail on the most ecological rooftop in Quebec!

Actu - Épluche et toit vert à Bouffons MTL

Équiterre invites you to admire one of the most interesting views in Montreal at the Centre for Sustainable Development. Sip a locally flavored cocktail while discovering a one of a kind LEED Platinum NC certified building in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles.

For over a decade now, Équiterre has been working to promote a sustainable food system. The family farmers network is the best example of this, allowing thousands of Quebec families to buy local, organic fruits and vegetables each year thanks to its organic food basket program.

Other initiatives, such as Épluche ta ville and our projects to promote local institutional food purchasing, have provided us with an opportunity to address food issues from the essential perspective of social and environmental responsibility. We are therefore very proud to be adding a sustainability dimension to the event Bouffons MTL, which will celebrate the quality and diversity of Montreal’s food scene, until July 25, right in the middle of the Quartier des spectacles, very close to the Centre for Sustainable Development where we have our offices.

  • Tour/cocktail on the roof schedule : Monday to Friday at 17 : 30 pm until July 23
  • Meeting point : lobby of the Centre for Sustainable Development
  • Length : 30 minutes
  • Program : cocktail and snacks with local flavor, presentation of key ecological features of the building and exciting discussions!

Also on the Bouffons Montréal menu: cooking demonstrations, tasting of wines and other local nectars, street food trucks, workshops and all kinds of good excuses for indulging and discovering what Montreal tastes like.

The Équiterre team will be on site from Monday to Thursday from 11 am from 30 to 13 h 30 at the Épluche ta ville booth in front of the Centre for Sustainable Development and offers a comparative tasting of organic and conventional vegetables. Take a break from the buzz of the place by viewing the video clips of  Épluche ta ville webdocumentary on local food in Montreal, streamed under the big top.

Come and see us on site!
