Roundtable: Quebec's first steps towards a carbon market, Maison du développement durable, Montreal

Event date(s):
26 November, 2013 - 12:15 - 13:30

On Tuesday, November 26 at 12:15 p.m., the Maison du développement durable and Copticom present a roundtable moderated by Hugo Séguin: "Sur la voie d'une économie verte : quel bilan tirer des premiers pas du Québec dans le marché du carbone ?"

Quebec and California boast the first carbon markets in North America. Can we draw any preliminary conclusions from the first two years? What are the opportunities for Quebec businesses? What does it mean for reducing greenhouse gas emissions? Are other provinces or states likely to join Quebec and California? Panelists will discuss how to make the most of the carbon market – in terms of the Quebec economy and the fight against climate change.

Free. By reservation only.
