Actu - Act on Climate March

Get ready for a major grassroots mobilization on April 11 in Quebec City! The Act on Climate March will bring thousands to the streets of the nation’s capital this spring.

Prime Minister Philippe Couillard will be preparing to receive colleagues from Canada to discuss climate change, and we will be there to send them a strong and clear message :

YES to climate protection
NO to the TransCanada pipeline project and oil from tar sands
YES to renewable energies

We need everyone to ask the provincial premiers to choose the climate. We can’t fight for climate protection while supporting oil sands expansion.

Everyone to Quebec City on April 11 for the climate!
Spread the word in your networks, Facebook and Twitter.
Visit the Act on Climate March website for more information.

The Act on Climate March is a pan-Canadian coalition, initiated by Quebec’s environmental movement (ALQPA [Quebec association against atmospheric pollution], Équiterre, the David Suzuki Foundation, Greenpeace, Nature Québec, and the RVHQ [Quebec hydrocarbon vigilance collective]) in collaboration with unions, social and student movements, community groups and First Nations.

Have you signed the No to Tar Sands petition? Join the movement against the Energy East project—over 730,000 people have signed so far!
