Information session on TransCanada's Energy East Pipeline project, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures

Event date(s):
4 November, 2013 - 19:00 - 21:30

Steven Guilbeault of Equiterre and Kim Cornelissen of the Association québécoise de lutte contre la pollution atmosphérique (AQLPA) will be providing an information session for citizens concerning TransCanada's Energy East pipeline project. The company wants to convert an existing natural gas pipeline to carry crude oil – including tar sands oil – from Alberta and Saskatchewan to Ontario, and to build a new pipeline from Cornwall, Ontario to port in Saint John, New Brunswick.

The route extends along the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River from Portneuf to Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures in the Quebec City area, and crosses to Saint-Nicolas before continuing on to the refinery in Lévis and onwards into the Lower St. Lawrence.
