World Environment Day : Let's make some noise!

On World Environment Day, June 5th 2017, which Canada is hosting this year, Équiterre invites you to participate in a street animation, with drums and other noisy instruments. The event is denounce the inconsistency of the federal government that claims its love and wish to preserve Canada's majestic nature while continuing to subsidize fossil fuels with billions of dollars every year.

Come and see first-hand the contradictions of Canada, when our country calls itself a leader in the fight against climate change and gives generous tax credits to the fossil energy industry:

QUOI : An active street event to illustrate Canada's contradictions in the fight against climate change, on the occasion of World Environment Day. It will be possible to sign Équiterre's petition to eliminate fossil fuels subsidies and there will be other on-site activities.

OÙ : In front of the Complexe Desjardins and Place-des-Arts
(150 Sainte-Catherine W street, Montréal, QC H2X 3Y2)

WHO : Citizens, employees and members of Équiterre, including Steven Guilbeault (Director principal and Spokesperson) and Sidney Ribaux (Executive Director).

WHEN: Monday June 5th, from 12 h to 13 h.
