Quebec's Pesticides Management Code turns 10. Now what?

Published on

Ten years ago, Quebec did a gutsy thing: it adopted the first Pesticides Management Code in all of North America, restricting the use of certain pesticides for cosmetic purposes.

But since then, Quebec has been overtaken by some of the other provinces, notably Ontario and Nova Scotia. To catch up with them, Quebec needs to strengthen its Code so that it offers residents at least the same level as protection as offered elsewhere in Canada.

We only need 61 more signatures on our petition calling for a tightening of the Code to reach our new goal of 3000 signatures. Sign the petition today in honour of this ten-year anniversary.
