Actu - Foire Bio Paysanne Équitable de Frelighsburg

On August 16 and 17, Frelighsburg will host its first organic/fair trade fair, bringing together thirty Quebec exhibitors offering fair trade and organic products such as fresh produce, bread, cheese, honey, oil and soap. The event will also include talks, local music, children's entertainment and food samples.

The festival promotes an environmental and equitable culture. In addition to delighting the taste buds of young and old alike, the fair will also be an opportunity to learn about:

  • organic farming
  • healthy and sustainable food

Attend talks by:

  • Bernard Alonso on permaculture
  • Family farmer Jean-Martin Fortier of the Jardins de la Grelinette farm on organic gardening
  • Equiterre cofounder Laure Waridel on food

There will also be two tours by Christian Barthomeuf of the sustainable orchards and vineyard at Clos Saragnat.

Children can awaken their senses thanks to the Caravane du goût.

In the tradition of the Fêtes Bio Paysannes created by the Union Paysanne, the Frelighsburg fair will be a good time with good music – ideal for families and friends.
