Marie-Ève Bélanger-Southey
Mobilization Manager
Marie-Ève holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the Université de Montréal. Passionate about politics, she has been actively involved in different circles for several years to better understand the forces that shape our world, and above all, the means to transform it.
She has evolved through various milieus, getting involved in the union world, the student movement and partisan politics, always pursuing two objectives: taking action against social inequalities and fighting against the causes of climate change. Beyond her academic training, Marie-Eve has developed experience in applied mobilization thanks to several years of field work, particularly in electoral contexts at the provincial and municipal levels.
In 2021, she co-founded and coordinated the Vague écologiste au municipal movement, which participated in the emergence and election of environmentalist candidates throughout Quebec. Before joining the Équiterre team, she held the position of project manager for the Collectivité ZéN at the Front commun pour la transition énergétique, a project aimed at implementing inclusive collective approaches at the territorial level leading to carbon neutrality and community resilience.
Marie-Ève joined the Équiterre mobilization team in the fall of 2022 at the heart of the Vire au vert campaign and the Quebec general elections.
