Équiterre is proud to present its 2024 annual report, which outlines our many accomplishments in 2024, made possible with the help of our members and supporters.
A word from our Executive Director
There is widespread concern about the climate and environmental crises, both among citizens and governments. Extreme weather events, the degradation of ecosystems and resource depletion have become significant threats, requiring concrete collective action.
Fortunately, despite the challenging context we are seeing a paradigm shift. Environmental protection is no longer considered in isolation, but as an essential lever in tackling the social, economic and environmental issues that we are facing. We know that by investing in sustainable solutions for the environment that promote social and economic justice, we can also lower the risks to public health, strengthen our collective resilience and build more supportive communities.
We’re seeing these changes as Équiterre’s projects unfold, with a vision of a healthy environment for all. Our sustainable food initiatives are helping people eat healthier all the while reducing their impact on the planet and on their wallets. Our work on access to repair and sustainable mobility are helping to steer Quebecers towards more viable and long term solutions. Our work on adaptation and reduction at the source are making our society more resilient to the impacts of climate change on many levels.
Being better prepared for tomorrow means working together to build solutions that benefit us all. With the dedication of our community, our projects are actively contributing to this essential transformation.
I am proud of our team’s unwavering commitment toward this goal. And I am proud that Équiterre has been recognized as an Employer of Choice in 2024. Our employees’ well-being is central to our process.
Thank you, everyone, for standing with us in this societal movement. Together, we are preparing for the future.
