A new study, published by the Pembina Institute, Jalon and Équiterre, proposes key solutions to help the City of Montreal reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from trucks and achieve its climate goals. With 39% of the city's emissions coming from the transportation sector, and a 190% increase in freight-related carbon emissions in Quebec between 1990 and 2018, the report's findings offer concrete solutions to an increasingly urgent problem.
