This spring, to raise awareness about alternatives to pesticides, our ecological horticulture team asked people to send in their favourite dandelion photos. They received more than 500 submissions! Because the photos were so gorgeous, the jury struggled to select just three winners (first prize winner Fabien Soriano's photo is pictured to the left.) To remedy this problem, they have created a Facebook photo album so that you can see more of these inspiring photos, which encourage us to rethink this humble flower. Is the dandelion something that needs to be eradicated from our lawns? Or might it be an object of beauty? You decide.
