Équiterre’s Communities
The members who make our work possible
Our members are the foundation of Équiterre
Since it was established over 30 years ago, Équiterre has been able to count on kind-hearted people like you to help us build a more just and environmentally-responsible world.
Thanks to our 21,000 members (which, by the way, is more than the membership of some of Quebec’s political parties), Équiterre has been able to develop grassroots projects, inspire businesses and institutions, and work with governments to find solutions to the greatest challenge of our time--the climate crisis.

Almost half of our funding comes from donations from individuals like you. Your generosity enables us to make progress towards a sustainable future.
A few achievements, made possibly by your support:
- 2023 regulations to limit the use of pesticides;
- improved access to repair, through 2023 provincial legislation;
- the cancellation of oil projects (ex: Energy East in 2017);
- the protection of our farmland;
- and so much more!

The environmental movement is stronger because of the commitment and generosity of our donors. To honour their contribution and express our gratitude, Équiterre has different member Communities that offer a range of benefits:
- Invitations to events where you can meet other members who, like you, care about the environment;

- Updates on the progress of our many initiatives.
The Accelerators Community
For members who support Équiterre with gifts totalling $5,000 or more per year.
For donations of $50,000 or more a year:
- Invitation to Équiterre’s Contributors Meeting;
- Opportunity to speak at Équiterre’s Contributors Meeting (on a voluntary basis);
- Invitation to a 5à7 event;
- Access to exclusive video content on Équiterre’s projects from our management team;
- Access to one of Équiterre’s webinars on the environment;
- Mention in Équiterre’s annual report.
For donations of $25,000 or more per year:
- Invitation to Équiterre’s Contributors Meeting;

We’d like to wake up tomorrow in a world that prioritizes healthy food and regenerative agriculture, active, collective, shared and low-carbon transportation, renewable energy and a more sustainable economy focused on our well-being. We know that you’d like to too.
