This submission provides an overview of environmental justice with a focus on the current situation in Quebec, an overview of the links between environmental justice and heavy-duty transportation, and recommendations and comments from the David Suzuki Foundation and Équiterre on the Action Plan of the Multi-State Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicle Task Force led by the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM).

It was also submitted to the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC), which joined this task force.
