In 2022, the federal government sought our expertise as part of the consultations on the national adaptation strategy. Our preliminary comments focus on the changes required to ensure the resilience of our economy, agriculture and communities.
We believe that Canada is particularly vulnerable to the consequences of climate change, and that adaptation needs to be better planned. Some adaptations are regulatory or budgetary, but others are systemic.
To succeed, transition and adaptation must be inclusive and rooted in people's realities, at the heart of communities across the country.
