This month Étienne Théroux, 26, embarks on a bike trip across the Americas. One of his fundraising goals? To raise money for Equiterre. He also intends to raise awareness about food sovereignty and ecological agriculture.

It will take him one and a half years to travel from Inuvik, Northwest Territories, north of the Arctic Circle, to Ushuaia, Tierre del Fuego Province, Argentina, at the southern most tip of South America.

Along the way, he will spend 160 days volunteering at organic farms in Central and South America.
